It's shopping time!

30 August 2008
Initially, Daddy had planned to take us on a walk at the Southern Ridges. It was meant to be a day of walking, so we walked from home all the way to Boon Keng MRT Station to take the NEL to Harbourfront. It was the first time that Johann was taking the train in his stroller, with him being wide awake. (Previously, he would be asleep in the sarong). He was really busy, taking in all the sights and sounds around. He found the train rather noisy and stayed awake throughout the train journey. hehe. So how did it turn out to be shopping time? When we reached Harbourfront, it was raining! Being left with no choice, we decided to stick around and idle our time away at Vivocity. Just in case the rain stopped. And boy, we sure did a lot of walking. From one shop to the other. haha Just look at the purchases for Johann alone! Needless to say, when the rain finally stopped and the sun was shining brightly, we decided it was wise to postpone our walk. We had too many shopping bags! haha We'll plan another trip to the Southern Ridges... soon (",)
Waiting for the train to arrive...

Johann got bored while Daddy and Mummy shopped...
His collar and socks were enough to entertain him...

Always ready to take a photo...

We got handles for his Avent milk bottles so that he can start holding his own bottle during feeding... Here, Daddy puts his hands around the handles and voila! He can do it on his own (",)

The Elmo was just too irresistable to miss... Johann took a liking to it at Toys r US... Wouldn't let go of it. Mummy had to force it away from him to make payment.

A hat from Mothercare for Johann... to protect him from the glaring sun... but then again, who's stopping us from putting it on him even when there's no sun. haha

With all the purchases, it's no wonder the little fella is all excited. He refused to sit down and insisted that Mummy held him up. He sure knows what he wants. haha

Cheering for Daddy

24 August 2008
Daddy took part in the AHM again this year. Mummy and Johann woke up bright and early to cheer Daddy on at the finishing line.

Here's Johann in the sarong.
Waiting patiently for Daddy to finish his race.

Daddy showing off his finisher medal. (There were too many people that we couldn't spot Daddy at the finishing line. Ironically, Daddy spotted us instead. haha)

Finally Daddy is done and we're on our way home.

Look at how excited he is in his car seat.
He sure knows we are going home...

And how can the journey home be complete without him doing his favourite things...

Sucking his finger and pulling his socks... haha

A real multi-tasker!

Johann's First Swim

We decided to bring Johann for his first swim today. We took a walk to SPANS with Johann in his stroller. By the time we reached the swimming pool, dear Johann was fast asleep.

All changed and ready to go...

Easy does it... Little Johann scrutinizing the stuff that Daddy is going to dip him into...

Finally, he's in the water. Phew! No tears!

Taking a little break from the waters... Being his normal cheeky self...

More at ease the second time around...

Enough of swimming for the day...

All ready to head home...

Celebrating National Day

We marked Johann's first National Day with attending one of Daddy's childhood friend's wedding. First time Johann wore a shirt! haha... He looked so grown up. Johann was asleep most of the time during the lunch reception so Mummy and Daddy were able to eat the sumptious wedding lunch. The little fella was grumpy when he woke up, refusing to cooperate when Mummy wanted to snap photos. Haha

After the wedding reception, we stayed home to watch the parade... so patriotic right? hehe
