Snip snip snip

The little one went for a haircut today...
To snip off all the strands that were getting a little too long...
Daddy said they were making him look like Einstein again... hahaha...
So off we went to United Square to get them cut...
Check out his latest do...

From these photos, no one could have guessed the screaming and crying that went on behind the scenes... The humble scissors and razor gave him a real traumatic experience... The hilarious bit about the whole thing was the 'daggered' look that Johann gave the lady who had the challenging task of cutting his hair... Mummy had to whisk sobbing Johann away from the place to pacify him... The magical bit... He has forgotten about it... I think (",)

Announcing the arrival...

...of Johann's first little tooth!

It's not that much of it can be seen as yet...
But it sure is making its presence felt...
Little Johann is cranky at times...
Crying and being so clingy...
Guess this explains the fever as well...
Can't wait to see how he looks with the little white tooth sticking out from his gums...
No more toothless grins from him then...
hehe

He held on real tight... hehe

Chew Giraffe Chew

Mummy bought Johann this big squeaky giraffe while in Bangkok.
Got him the tiger version too (",)
Johann was so engrossed...
Chewing his new toy giraffe...
Such a joy watching him enjoying himself...

On the way to nenek's house...

Daddy was at work. Mummy and Johann took the bus to nenek's house today...
As usual, Little Johann was very well behaved on the bus.
Bus was rather empty so Mummy was able to choose a seat that enabled Little Johann to look out the window and enjoy the scenery (not that there was very much to see... haha)
This got the little fella a little excited... Looking at all the vehicles and buildings whizz past...
But after awhile, the little fella quietened down and kinda spaced out...

Yippee! (",)

The Elmo Song...

Mummy let Johann watch the Elmo song from youtube today...
Verdict...
Johann loves the Elmo song...

He can do it now...

Little Johann has been practising real hard...
During his practice 'sessions', he would push his face against the netting with hands above his head...
Trying to reach for the sides of the cot...
In his countless attempts, he would fall short of grabbing the sides and either slides down the netting or falls backwards onto the mattress (thank goodness for the mattress!)
I'm proud to say that now the little fella is able to pull himself up successfully...
He's so confident that he's able to do it oh so quickly! (",)

My little angel... Part 2

Mummy just loves to watch the little one sleep...
He looks so peaceful...

When he was 16 days old...

7 months and 3 days later...

Daddy soccer... Johann play...

Daddy had a soccer game in the evening.
Kind of a reunion for him and his old mates from the national team...
Look at the following pictures to have an idea of what Little Johann did while Daddy played soccer... (Of course we watched the game... for awhile that is... Little Johann's attention span is still rather short... hehe... furthermore, Daddy was playing keeper this time... Too far away for Johann to spot him...)

Playing with his ears...

Playing with Mc Queen...

Playing with his fan...

Playing with Mummy...

My little fella... Johann...

Morning at the Botanical Gardens

We spent the morning at the Botanical Gardens today. Was a good change from the normal shopping centre outing. We sure enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely go back and visit the swans and enjoy the fresh air (",)

Little Johann in the car,
all geared up for the gardens!
At the gardens, Daddy push Johann, Mummy snap photos...
Johann being grumpy...
Mummy had to agree that it was indeed HOT!

Some shots with Daddy dearest...
Johann's first encounter with grass...

"Hey! Mummy brought my ball along!"

"Now, why did Daddy push my ball away?"

"My ball is there... but there's this green stuff here..."
"Yucks! That was disgusting! The green stuff is strange..."

"But I must be brave, my ball is waiting for me..."

"Let me have a closer look. Hey! It's not too bad..."
"I'm coming, ball... There's sure a lot of the green stuff around..."

"Oh no. The ball has rolled away. Now, ball or mat?

"Out of my way. Back to the mat I go!'

"But... my ball..."

"Mummy will get my ball for me. On to the mat I go."

"Finally, on the mat and with my ball..."

"My playful Daddy..."
Off the mat and into his stroller... We're off!

Soon enough, the little one fell asleep...

Plucking out the alphabet...

Look what Mummy managed to catch the little one doing...
He was so engrossed that he didn't even realise that Mummy was watching...
Step 1: Choose the alphabet that you like.
Step 2: Pull it out using your hands.
Step 3: Hold it up high and give it a good check.
Step 4: Do the mandatory taste test!

And Mummy's favourite photo...

"Oops! She caught me!"
Mummy can't wait for Johann's new bumper mat to arrive!
Will have to retire the alphabet mat for the moment...

Chewing Melman!

Mummy brought Melman home from Mc Donald's after brekkie with the boys during the school's foundation flag day this morning. Johann took to it immediately. Putting it straight into his mouth. Where else? haha

Johann was so into chewing Melman. It kept him occupied for quite awhile. He was even more intrigued by it when he realised that Melman could talk! haha

This was when he started shaking the figurine up and down to hear its voice. Aptly, one of the sayings was "Ow ow ow!" haha

Poor Melman. Chewed and shaken... What else? We will have to wait and see what Little Johann has in store for you (",)
